Speaking with a friend, I thought perhaps I should blog again. I was Boopnut39. It's been suggested that I journal, but I'm not the journaling type. I do enjoy reading other people's blogs though, so this is my first entry.
Let me tell you where I'm at. I'm 71 now. I have Stage IV Chronic Kidney Disease. Although I don't need dialysis, I experience fatigue daily. This makes life challenging. My physical activity isn't up to to par. I had a knee replacement two years ago and it took a long time to heal. Now I think I'm getting arthritis. Ahhh, the golden years!
I have lost my best friend to cancer in 2016. My older sister died unexpectantly in 2020 from a brain bleed. My brother passed away last Fall. I have no immediate family. Thank God for my husband and son!
Jim and I are both retired. Jim is in good health, so he helps with household duties, when I'm desperate! Otherwise, the house doesn't necessarily pass the white glove test! Our son Dan lives at home. He works full time as an IT specialist, but because of his C.P., he has some limitations such as driving. Jim is his chauffer. He helps in the household, but only on as needed basis. He's spoiled.
Today was my first official day back working at the thrift store. I enjoy working the cash register and seeing all of the people. I had quit during the pandemic and didn't go back right away like some, plus I had a bad leg. I have missed the socialization! So, today was work, and I am extremely tired (I usually cat nap in the afternoon), but it was good to be back.
Well, that is enough for now. I hope to reconnect with many of you again.
Yours fondly,
Debbie
